PCR-Based Molecular Breeding Marker Systems

There are numbers of molecular markers that can aid in the rapid identification of qualitative and quantitative traits and adapting them for crop enhancement. Using an assortment of different markers in MAS breeding programs, we analyze seedlings quickly with genetic markers linked to highly desirable traits. Then, using conventional breeding means, we rapidly introduce and advance these genes into commercial lines.
