PCR-Based Molecular Breeding Marker Systems
We use an assortment of different markers in MAS breeding programs to analyze seedlings quickly with genetic markers linked to highly desirable agronomic traits.Marker-Assisted Selection (MAS)

We construct gene or linkage maps using molecular markers to mark the locations and relative positions of specific genes on nuclear chromosomes. Using linkage analysis to determine gene loci distances, we identify genes that may be associated with the expression of agronomically important traits, then tag and trace these genes with molecular markers as MAS for their presence or absence.
